THALES Communications SA belongs to the Division Joint & Land Systems (DJL), which is one of the six Divisions of THALES, aimed at integrating THALES activities in defence and professional communications. DLJ is a multi-domestic structure, with a revenue of DLJ around 2.4 billion euros (2004 sales) and about 15000 employees in 20 countries. Role in the project

THALES Communications interest in the BOSS project is primarily divided around three major themes: interconnectivity issues, robust video coding techniques via Unequal Error Protection (UEP) and error resilience solutions, and system integration.
